Today, Sherry Management, producer of the ElvisFestival.com series of events, announced a giveaway for those who buy tickets for upcoming Elvis festivals around the country, showcasing the five tribute artists appearing as part of Elvis Week Feb. 4-8 on "Late Show with David Letterman" on CBS.
Buy tickets to any of the ElvisFestival.com events between now and March 8, 2013, and be entered to win a Memphis Elvis Week Package, including: overnight accommodations from Sun., Aug. 11 - Aug. 18 at the Econo Lodge Downtown Memphis; $500 for transportation; tickets to the Doc Franklin's Original Images of the King Elvis Tribute Artist Contest and Showcase at the New Daisy Theater on Beale Street; tickets for two to the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest; and admission for two to Graceland.
"The King of Rock and Roll," who would have turned 78 on Jan. 8, is being honored by five entertainers who were selected as "Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artists" by Elvis Presley Enterprises. Scheduled to perform are: Cody Ray Slaughter, who is currently in the touring production of "The Million Dollar Quartet," and is the youngest person ever to be named an "Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist"; Brandon Bennett, who stars in the Chicago cast of the hit musical "The Million Dollar Quartet" and who also starred in the hit Canadian show "The Elvis Story"; Justin Shandor, who currently portrays Elvis in the touring show "Rock 'n Roll Legends"; Ben Portsmouth, current star of the European "Tribute to Elvis" tour; and Shawn Klush, named BBC Television's "World's Greatest Elvis," who will recreate Elvis's famed Hilton performances at the Las Vegas Elvis Fest during his appearance.
"It's exciting to see top Elvis tribute artists perform on national TV," said Jason Sherry, president of Sherry Management and festival director for ElvisFestival.com. "Now, Elvis fans can see these performers live at one of the ElvisFestival.com events around the country. If you enjoyed their appearances on David Letterman, there's nothing like seeing them perform in person."
