Elisabeth Hasselbeck to Exit THE VIEW For FOX & FRIENDS

According to Deadline.com, Elisabeth Hasselbeck will be leaving The View after 10 years to join co-hosts Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade on FOX & FRIENDS this September.

"Elisabeth's warm and engaging personality made her a star on The View," FOX News Channel's Roger Ailes said in a statement. "She has proven to be an excellent conversationalist and I am certain she will make a great addition to our already successful morning franchise."

The View co-host Barbara Walters commented: "We have had ten wonderful years with Elisabeth and she will now be swimming in new waters. We will miss her and wish her everything good."

As BWW previously reported, Brooke Shields is rumored to be replacing Elisabeth Hasselbeck when she leaves this fall. Jenny McCarthy is also in talks to replace Joy Behar on THE VIEW. Behar will Exit The View in August 2013 when her contract expires. Walters has confirmed she will be retiring from THE VIEW the summer of 2014. Behar and Walters are the final two original VIEW members remaining on the show since its inception over 16 years ago.

Hasselbeck has also made appearances on Rachael Ray, The Chew, The Dr. Oz Show, The Colbert Report, The Daily Show, Jimmy Fallon, Good Morning America, Entertainment Tonight, Survivor, Larry King Live, Jay Leno, The Tony Danza Show, David Letterman, Hollywood Squares and many more.
