Elaine Bauer Brooks Named Executive Vice President of Development at CBS Television Distribution

Elaine Bauer Brooks has been named Executive Vice President of Development at CBS Television Distribution, it was announced today by Hilary Estey McLoughlin, President of Creative Affairs for CTD.

Bauer Brooks is a veteran television producer and executive, who has worked in all facets of the business from syndication to scripted to cable to the digital arena. In her new position, she will oversee development of new programming for CTD.

"Elaine has truly versatile experience from being a hands-on producer to having the perfect combination of unscripted, scripted and digital expertise," McLoughlin said. "I have no doubt that her creativity and drive will enable her to develop innovative, multiplatform first-run syndication brands for CTD."

Bauer Brooks joins CTD from The Style Network, where she most recently served as Executive Producer on the network's Fashion Week programming as well as the limited series "Style Pop." Prior to that, she served as Senior Vice President of Development at The Style Network, where she worked on series such as "Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane," "Ruby" and "Style Her Famous."

Bauer Brooks began her career in Syndicated television working on daytime talk shows. She was a producer on Telepictures' "Jenny Jones" and later oversaw "Ricki Lake" as Director of Development at Columbia TriStar. She then became Vice President of Programming for CBS/Eyemark Entertainment in 2000, followed by a move to scripted programming as Vice President of Development at Imagine Television, where she oversaw prime-time series, most notably, the hit FOX series "24."

She then returned to her syndication roots as Senior Vice President of Development and Current Programming for 20th Television, where she developed and oversaw shows such as the daytime talk show "On-Air With Ryan Seacrest" and court show "Judge Alex."

Bauer Brooks is also the founder and editor of the lifestyle blog, "The List Collective," which she created in August 2011. She has also been a lifestyle writer and blogger for The Huffington Post.

A native of Chicago, Bauer Brooks attended the University of Kansas where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism.
