ESPN to Provide Comprehensive Coverage of MLB Little League Classic

ESPN will provide comprehensive coverage of the first-ever MLB Little League Classic on SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL presented by Taco Bell, Aug. 20, from the renovated Historic Bowman Field in Williamsport, Pa. - the location of the Little League World Series. The MLB Little League Classic - the St. Louis Cardinals vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates - starts at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN. The MLB Little League Classic is a special regular-season game, which will celebrate youth baseball and support MLB's PLAY BALL initiative.

Dan Shulman will provide play-by-play for the MLB Little League Classic on ESPN alongside analysts Jessica Mendoza and Aaron Boone and reporter Tim Kurkjian. The game will also be live-streamed via the ESPN App and available on ESPN Radio with Adam Amin and Chris Singleton, ESPN DEPORTES with Ernesto Jerez, Luis Alfredo Alvarez and Guillermo Celis and ESPN DEPORTES Radio.

ESPN's exclusive MLB Little League Classic telecast will include a special interview with Commissioner Manfred, who will join the SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL team in the broadcast booth. The telecast will also include interviews with MLB players and personnel and imagery of MLB players and non-MLB celebrities as Little Leaguers.

The analyst duo of Jessica Mendoza and Aaron Boone will partake in an ESPN "day-night broadcasting doubleheader" on Sunday. Prior to the MLB Little League Classic on ESPN, they will provide commentary for the 1 p.m. Little League WORLD SERIES broadcast on ABC. In addition, Karl Ravech will embark on four baseball assignments in Williamsport, Pa. on Aug. 20. Ravech will call two Little League WORLD SERIES telecasts, at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., before hosting two editions of BASEBALL TONIGHT at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Tim Kurkjian will also have four assignments on Sunday, including the MLB Little League Classic, two editions of BASEBALL TONIGHT and a Little League WORLD SERIES game.

Baseball Tonight's On-site Triple-header

Baseball Tonight: Sunday Night Countdown presented by Chevrolet will precede the MLB Little League Classic at 6 p.m. Karl Ravech will host the one-hour show with analyst David Ross and reporter Tim Kurkjian. Earlier that day, BASEBALL TONIGHT presented by Oscar Mayer will air at 1 p.m. with host Adnan Virk and David Ross, and again at 4 p.m. from two locations. Virk and Ross will be located at the Little League WORLD SERIES set, while Ravech and Kurkjian will be on set at Historic Bowman Field. SPORTSCENTER will also contribute live, on-site updates throughout the day on Aug. 20 from reporter Coley Harvey.
