ESPN college sports play-by-play commentator Jason Benetti will call his first nationally-televised MLB game for ESPN on Wednesday Night Baseball presented by Hankook Tire, June 22, at 10 p.m. ET. The Washington Nationals and Bryce Harper will visit the Los Angeles Dodgers and Adrian Gonzalez. The full national telecast is also available on WatchESPN. Benetti joins analysts Doug Glanville and Rick Sutcliffe in the booth.

Benetti was hired by the Chicago White Sox as a television play-by-play commentator for Comcast SportsNet Chicago and WGN Sports earlier this year. He joined ESPN in 2011 and has called college football, college baseball and college lacrosse telecasts along with HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL and Little League baseball telecasts. Benetti was born with cerebral palsy and works with the "Just Say Hi' campaign as part of the Cerebral Palsy Foundation.

ESPN's Global Game series, which celebrates various cultural influences on the game of baseball, will also return for Wednesday Night Baseball this week with a focus on Mexico. Benetti, Sutcliffe and Glanville will host a variety of influential Mexican guests during the telecast, who have made a significant impact on the game of baseball.

Sutcliffe's former teammate and major league pitcher Fernando Valenzuela will visit the booth as well as the Spanish-language voice of the Dodgers Jaime Jarrin. ESPN DEPORTES personalities Ismael Valdez and Bernardo Osuna will also appear on the telecast.

The 2016 Global Game series on ESPN will feature two more games this season focusing on the Dominican Republic and Japan. More details on these games to follow in upcoming weeks.
