E!, the global leader in pop culture news and entertainment programming, today announced "L.A. Clippers Dance Squad," a new original docu-series produced by Mandalay Sports Media that gives fans an unprecedented in-depth look at what it takes to be a member of the elite L.A. Clippers dance team, both on and off the court. From hours of auditions and rehearsals to balancing personal lives and relationships, this docu-series takes fans behind-the-scenes, showing what it really takes to make it to the floor of the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles and dance for basketball fans representing this high-profile, global brand. "L.A. Clippers Dance Squad" is slated to premiere in early 2016 only on E!.

The eight, one-hour episodes will chronicle the lives of the Clippers dancers rising stars. Beginning with summer auditions, fans will see hundreds of women vie for a coveted spot on the team, some fulfilling a life-long dream to become a member of this elite squad. Once the team is set, the dancers' emotions, ambitions and endurance will be tested during hours of intense rehearsals. As the season progresses fans will learn that it takes a lot more than just rhythm and hot moves to make it as a member of the Clippers dance team.

"The Clippers dance team is an established and popular part of L.A.'s sports story, and we are excited to give our fans an exclusive peek into this high-energy world," said Jeff Olde, EVP Programming and Development, E!. "This series will bring a fascinating and revealing look at this exclusive organization and the glamorous, larger-than-life women who are competing in a very high-stakes game both on and off the court."

"The women of the Clippers dance team embody the physical and spiritual essence of the modern woman," said Petra Pope, Creative Director of Entertainment Teams, L.A. Clippers. "These athletes come from various ethnic backgrounds and dance training. We look to them to be aspirational ambassadors to all those they encounter."

"The women on this dance squad are pursuing their entertainment dreams, living full lives in L.A., and performing for huge crowds," said Jon Weinbach, Executive Vice-President of Mandalay Sports Media. "We're incredibly excited to team up with E! and the Clippers to showcase this alluring side of the sports world."

Mike Tollin and Jon Weinbach serve as Executive Producers for Mandalay Sports Media, and Leola Westbrook serves as an Executive Producer as well. Cash Warren is also a producer on the series.
