E! News, the popular long-running daily and weekend entertainment news broadcast, which just received a 2014 Daytime Emmy® nomination for Outstanding Entertainment News Program, today announced two promotions, naming Jennifer Lavin as Executive Producer and promoting Melanie Bromley to Chief News Correspondent. In addition, Dina Sansing joins as Executive Entertainment Director from Us Weekly. The announcements were made today by Cyndi McClellan, President, Network Strategy & E! News and Lisa Kridos, Executive in Charge of News.

"With Lisa joining our news production last year, we have taken more in front and behind the camera gambles and having Jen by her side has been the key component to the show's recent success. In her seven years at E! News, Jen has proven she has what it takes to continue the show's success and reach new heights as the global leader in entertainment news," said McClellan. "Melanie has worked tirelessly on all of our breaking stories, helping to continually secure numerous big exclusives. She's an important asset to our news organization and this promotion acknowledges her dedication and hard work. I'm also thrilled to bring Dina on board to E! News. Her years of entertainment journalism experience, combined with her extensive industry connections give us another great advantage," she added.

E! News has taken a creative turn with Lavin at the helm, infusing more interactivity and conversation surrounding the big stories of the day. This approach is paying off with an increase in Q1 among total viewers and a sixteen years gap between the show and other entertainment news programs. The show's personality and lively opinion-based format now includes even more chat, debate and off-the-cuff commentary among co-anchors Giuliana Rancic and Terrence Jenkins as well as co-hosts Jason Kennedy and Catt Sadler, while still delivering breaking news, topical stories and exclusives.

Jennifer Lavin joined E! News as supervising producer in 2007 and was later named senior supervising producer, a position she held until this promotion to EP. Prior to E!, Lavin was a producer for Access Hollywood, and prior to that, was executive producer, production services for ZDTV/Tech TV. Lavin began her career at San Francisco's KPIX/CBS 5.

Melanie Bromley joined E! News in 2012 as senior correspondent, overseeing news gathering across both E! News and Eonline. Four months after joining E!, she was promoted to senior managing correspondent. Prior to E!, she served as Us Weekly's west coast bureau chief from '07-'12. Previously, she served as their London-based European bureau chief from '03-'07.

Dina Sansing joins E! News as executive entertainment director from Us Weekly. In her role, Sansing will be functioning across both E! News and Eonline, working with talent representatives and the industry PR community to continue to foster strong relationships for the entire News division. She most recently was west coast executive editor of Us Weekly and Usmagazine.com. Prior to her promotion at Us, she was entertainment director from '07-'13 after serving as west coast deputy editor from '03-'07. Prior to that, she spent six years at Seventeen Magazine in a variety of positions, including west coast editor.

"E! News" gives entertainment fans extensive coverage of breaking news, behind-the-scenes access to the hottest shows, exclusive celebrity interviews and all the biggest red carpet events. Alongside co-anchors Giuliana Rancic and Terrence Jenkins and co-hosts Jason Kennedy and Catt Sadler are viewers' favorite celebrity correspondents -- Jesse Giddings, Ali Fedotowsky, Alicia Quarles, Ken Baker, Kristina Guerrero and Melanie Bromley.
