Entertainment Weekly reports that Disney will unveil the latest Pixar short film, a Monsters University spinoff titled PARTY CENTRAL, in front of the highly anticipated sequel Muppets Most Wanted. Both films are set to hit theaters on March 21, 2014.

The six-minute short, which first debuted at the 2013 D23 Expo, "Mike and Sulley and their Oozma Kappa frat brothers try to throw a monster blowout party but are dismayed to find that no one is showing up. Fortunately, they have some extra inter-dimensional doors handy, which they put to creative use (we won't spoil how here) to get the party rocking."

The short's writer and director, Kelsey Mann, tells the site that the idea for the storyline came from the recent hit Monster's University. "When you first meet the Oozma Kappas, they go to their fraternity house and the first thing they say is, 'Welcome to party central! We haven't thrown a party yet, but when we do we'll be ready,' " Mann says. "I kept telling [MU director] Dan [Scanlon], 'I really want to see their party. We have to do it in the credits or something.' Then when the idea of doing a short came up, we were like, 'That could be the party!' "

Disney's "Muppets Most Wanted" takes the entire Muppets gang on a global tour, selling out grand theaters in some of Europe's most exciting destinations, including Berlin, Madrid and London. But mayhem follows the Muppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine-the World's Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit-and his dastardly sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two, portrayed by Ricky Gervais.

The film stars Tina Fey as Nadya, a feisty prison guard, and Ty Burrell as Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleon.
