Deportes Telemundo, home of Club León, the two-time Liga MX champs, presents the first game in The League's 2014 Opening Tournament, León vs. América, live from León, Guanajuato tonight, July 19 at 9PM/8C/6P.

Deportes Telemundo's experienced team of award-winning sportscasters, led by Andrés Cantor with commentators Sammy Sadovnik and Carlos Hermosillo, will cover every minute of the action at Leon Stadium.

Every week this season, Deportes Telemundo will air live Club León and Pachuca home games. Highlights will include the encounter between the two teams on August 30; León vs. Guadalajara on October 18; and León vs. the UNAM Pumas August 14 on mun2.

In the intense preseason leading up to the Opening Tournament, Club León earned a record of 4 wins, 1 tie and 2 defeats. Its last match was a decisive 3-1 victory over América in Sacramento, California.

León won its seventh championship and second consecutive title after defeating Pachuca 4-3 in the 2014 Closing Tournament final. Fresh from their participation with the Mexican national team at the FIFA World Cup in Brazil, Rafa Márquez, José Juan "Gallito" Vázquez and Carlos Alberto "Gullit" Peña are back to help their home team seek the triple championship. The team also starts the season with three new forwards: Marcos Caicedo, of Club Sport Emelec; Martín Bravo, of Club Universidad Nacional de México; and Yamilson Rivera, of América de Cali.

Deportes Telemundo, Telemundo Media's sports division, is one of the United States' leading providers of Spanish-language sports content.
