De Niro and Travolta to Co-Star in KILLING SEASON

Stage and screen stars Robert De Niro and John Travolta are set to co-star in the new film "Killing Season," according to published reports. Mark Steven Johnson will direct the film which will be written by Evan Daugherty.

De Niro plays a reclusive American military veteran, who strikes up a friendship with a man (Travolta) who turns out to be a former Serbian soldier intent on revenge.

De Niro appeared on Broadway in the 1986 play, CUBA & HIS TEDDY BEAR for which he received a Theatre World Award. He has won Academy Awards for "The Godfather Part II" and "Raging Bull," and received nominations for his performances in "Taxi Driver," "The Deer Hunter," "Awakenings," and "Cape Fear."

Travolta appeared on Broadway in GREASE and OVER HERE! He is well known for his work in such films as "Saturday Night Fever," "Hairspray," and "Pulp Fiction," and the television series "Welcome Back, Kotter."
