Danna Castiglia Upped to VP, Business Development for CBS News

Danna Castiglia has been promoted to Vice President, Business Development for CBS News, it was announced today by Thomas S. Shilen, Jr., Senior Vice President, Chief Financial and Administrative Officer for CBS News. Her appointment is effective immediately.

Castiglia will oversee all business development for the division. In this new role, she will manage business-related transactions within CBS News that create value, enhance relations and expand commercial partnerships for CBS News across multiple platforms.

A 17-year veteran at CBS, Castiglia most recently served as CBS Corporation's Vice President of Corporate Development. There she oversaw the CBS Network, CBS Global Distribution Group, CBS Studios Group, Simon & Schuster and CBS Corporate capital-related transactions, including the launch of CBS This Morning at the CBS Broadcast Center, fuel cell and energy-saving programs at CBS Network, and long-term real estate leases and IT-related systems projects (including the relocation of the Corporation's Data Center). She also managed the quarterly and monthly capital expenditure detail analyses for all divisions of the Corporation. Previously, Castiglia was Director of Corporate Development. Earlier in her career, Castiglia was Director of Business Planning and Analysis for CBS Corporation. Castiglia joined CBS as a senior financial analyst for CBS Corporate in 1997.

Castiglia began her career as a Certified Public Accountant at Deloitte and Touche, Audit and Advisory Practice, New York City.

Castiglia grew up in Oceanside, Long Island and graduated from the State University of New York College at Old Westbury in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She later earned her license as a Certified Public Accountant in 1996. Castiglia currently resides in Merrick, Long Island with her husband, Frank, and three children.
