Daniel Radcliffe to Receive Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Mashable reports that HARRY POTTER star Daniel Radcliffe will be honored with a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Ana Martinez, who produces the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremonies, commented in a statement, "Fans of all ages have been waiting in anticipation of Daniel's star ceremony. They are constantly asking when it will happen. Finally, we have him here in Hollywood, and we are proud to dedicate his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame."

Radcliffe will receive the 2,565th star on the walk in front of the Dolby Theatre on November 12th at 11:30 am PST. Guest speakers at the event, which will be live-streamed, include Chris Columbus, who directed Radcliffe in the first two Harry Potter films, and comedian Chris Hardwick of @midnight. Hollywood Chamber President and C.E.O. Leron Gubler will dedicate the star.

Radcliffe will next be seen on screen as Igor in Paul McGuigan's Victor Frankenstein, opposite James McAvoy. The actor's recent films include THE WOMAN IN BLACK, as well as KILL YOUR DARLINGS, HORNS, WHAT IF and TRAINWRECK. His upcoming projects include SWISS ARMY MAN, BROOKLYN BRIDGE, YOUNG AMERICANS and NOW YOU SEE ME: THE SECOND ACT, as well as the TV movie GAME CHANGER.

Radcliffe rose to international fame starring as the title character in HARRY POTTER, the highest grossing film series of all time. The actor recently appeared on the Great White Way in THE CRIPPLE OF INISHMAAN and Broadway's recent revival of HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING. Radcliffe also starred in EQUUS in 2008.
