Homeland producer HOWARD GORDON revealed in a recent interview with EW that the upcoming season of the hit Showtime drama will be "a little bit of a reset," yet added, "it is really promising at the same time." Gordon shared that the season will introduce new characters and plot lines and compared upcoming episodes to the works of "classic Cold War espionage author John le Carré."
Among the biggest questions for fans of the award-winning drama was whether Emmy-winning actor Damian Lewis would return in his role as Marine Sergeant Nicholas Brody. RevealEd Gordon, "He's alive so of course he'll be back. One of the great challenges of next [season] is how he'll be back. But there's no doubt that he will be back."
Lewis picked up a Golden Globe award for Best Actor in a drama series last week. His other TV credits include roles include the ITV remake of The Forsyte Saga, Detective Charlie Crews in the NBC drama Life and Major Richard Winters in the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers.
