DVR ALERT: Idina Menzel Guests on CBS's THE TALK Today

Tony Award-winning actress Idina Menzel will be a guest on a special Holiday themed week of CBS's The Talk, which returns to New York City for the fifth time! The episode will air today, Dec. 13 (2:00-3:00 PM, ET/1:00-2:00 PM, PT/CT) on CBS.

Menzel will soon star in IF/THEN, marking her return to Broadway for the first time since winning the Tony Award for Wicked. The new original Broadway musical reunites Tom Kitt (music), Brian Yorkey (book and lyrics), and Michael Greif (director), the creative team behind the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical, Next to Normal.

The musical will have its world premiere in a pre-Broadway out-of-town engagement at The National Theatre in Washington, D.C., beginning preview performances on Tuesday, November 5 and running through December 8.

On the verge of turning 40, Elizabeth (Menzel) moves back to New York City, the ultimate city of possibility, with the intent of a fresh start, new home, new friends and hopes for a resurgent career. But even in her carefully planned new life, the smallest decision or most random occurrence will impact her world in ways she never dreamt possible. Set against the ever-shifting landscape of modern day Manhattan, If/Then is a romantic and an original new musical about how choice and chance collide and how we learn to love the fallout.
