Cursed New AMERICAN HORROR STORY: Inside The Coven Featurette

The starry ensemble of actors and a host of historians discuss the witchy third season of the hit FX horror-themed anthology series AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN as part of a new featurette released in promotion of this week's conclusion of the two-part Halloween special, focusing on some fiery voodoo.

"Marie Laveau's legacy has become so large that it is so easy to think of New Orleans as it is as Being about her," one of many historians share in the new New Orleans-centric video piece largely focused on the character portrayed by Angela Bassett on the female-driven new season.

AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN centers on a modern-day witch academy in New Orleans, featuring returning series star Jessica Lange and new addition Kathy Bates alongside Season Three featured players Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Frances Conroy, Gabourey Sidibe, Denis O'Hare, Patti LuPone, Evans Peters, Taissa Farmiga, Lily Rabe and Emma Roberts.

The official description of AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN is as follows: ""Coven" tells the secret history of witches and witchcraft in America. Over 300 years have passed since the turbulent days of the Salem witch trials and those who managed to escape are now facing extinction. Mysterious attacks have been escalating against their kind and young girls are Being sent away to a special school in New Orleans to learn how to protect themselves. Wrapped up in the turmoil is new arrival, Zoe (Farmiga), who is harboring a terrifying secret of her own. Alarmed by the recent aggression, Fiona (Lange), the long-absent Supreme, sweeps back into town, determined to protect the Coven and hell-bent on decimating anyone who gets in her way."

AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN premieres on October 9 at 10 PM.
