Chef Roger Mooking returns to Cooking Channel in search of more flavor and flames in the third season of Man Fire Food premiering tonight, June 3rd at 8:00pm ET/5:00pm PT. Roger continues his quest for outrageous ways to cook with fire including even more flavorful and inventive recipes than before. Whether he has a hankering for a pulled pork sandwich in Gordonsville, Virginia or a desire for succulent lamb barbacoa in San Antonio, Texas, Roger feeds his craving with one-of-a-kind recipes that are fueled by fire.
Over the course of thirteen episodes, Roger uncovers the most unique cooking contraptions that produce mouthwatering recipes utilizing the most ancient cooking elements - fire. Along the way he not only indulges in delicious grilled dishes and barbecue but also meets the individuals cooking up the innovative recipes. In one episode, Roger hams it up at some of the country's best suppliers of cured, smoked and aged pork. He heads to Edwards near historic Jamestown, Virginia to visit Sam Edwards, a third-generation "ham master" who pays tribute to European-style barbecue with his cured, smoked and aged country hams. In another episode, Roger meets Chef Johnny Hernandez in San Antonio, Texas and cooks regional Mexican dishes in the ultimate outdoor kitchen. They enjoy a feast of Lamb Barbacoa cooked low and slow in a pit, branzino stuffed with aromatics, wrapped in banana leaves and cooked around coals, and fresh corn tortillas toasted on a clay griddle. When it comes to cooking with fire there is no such thing as a boring dish.Videos
