Comedian Billy Connolly Says Robin Williams Called Him Days Before Passing to Say Goodbye

In a new interview with the UK's Mirror, comedian Billy Connolly shared that he believes Robin Williams phoned him just days before his tragic death to say goodbye. The good friends, who had met over 30 years ago, had both had been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease.

"He was diagnosed after me and he was on the phone a lot asking me about it," the 71-year-old told The Mirror. "It broke my heart when he died. I was in Malta with my family and my children were all crying. They all loved him."

Connelly went on to share details from an ominous conversation he had with Williams just days before Williams committed suicide. "During the call he kept telling me he loved me. I said 'I know.' But he kept repeating it, saying 'Do you really know I love you?' I was thinking what the (expletive) is he on about?," Shared the actor, "After his death I thought, 'Oh my God he was saying goodbye.'"
