Matt Corman and Chris Ord, the creators and executive producers of USA's COVERT AFFAIRS, have officially signed a multi-project, multi-year deal with Universal Cable, the corporation announced today.

The duo will reportedly continue on as COVERT AFFAIRS' showrunners while simultaneously creating new projects for Universal Cable Productions.

"From day one, we have had a fantastic relationship with Matt and Chris," said Richard Rothstein, senior vp in development and current programming for Univeral. "They are terrific storytellers who have found a unique way to infuse the action genre with subtle insight that makes COVERT AFFAIRS such a rewarding experience. And that is the reason we are so excited to have them create the next UCP hit."

"Since we began COVERT AFFAIRS, the creative process with our UCP and USA partners has been a joy," Corman and Ord said in a statement. "And we are thrilled to be continuing and expanding our collaboration with our studio family."

USA recently renewed COVERT AFFAIRS for a fourth season. The series is set to return to the air in 2013.
