CBS's LATE SHOW Wins Week By Largest Margin of Victory Ever

THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT won the week by +900,000 viewers, its largest margin of victory ever, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending August 4. THE LATE SHOW averaged 3.21m viewers, up +35% (from 2.38m) compared to the same week last year. THE LATE SHOW beat "The Tonight Show" (3.21m vs. 2.31m, +39%), its largest margin of victory over "The Tonight Show" in viewers (first run vs. first run) to date. The show posted its largest audience since the week ending March 10, best adults 18-49 rating (0.5) since the week ending June 9, and best adults 18-34 rating (0.3) since the week ending June 23.

"Stephen Sings Farewell to the Mooch" garnered 3.3 million views on Youtube and was the most viewed late night clip of the week.Stephen Colbert brings his signature satire and comedy to THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT where he talks with an eclectic mix of guests about what is new and relevant in the worlds of politics, entertainment, business, music, technology and more.

Featuring bandleader Jon Batiste with his band Stay Human, the show is broadcast from the historic and newly renovated Ed Sullivan Theater. Stephen Colbert took over as host, executive producer and writer of THE LATE SHOW on Sept. 8, 2015.
