CBS's FACE THE NATION Finishes First in Adults 25-54

CBS News' FACE THE NATION is the #1 Sunday morning public affairs program, finishing first in viewers (3.19m) and tied for first in adults 25-54 (0.7/04), the demographic most important to those who advertise in news, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings on June 7. Editor's Note: FACE THE NATION's second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 76.3% of the CBS affiliates.

Compared to the same day last year, FACE THE NATION was even in viewers and adults 25-54. Television year-to-date, FACE THE NATION is first in viewers (3.43m) and adults 25-54 (0.8/04). Compared to last year, FACE THE NATION is up +6% in viewers (from 3.24m) and even in adults 25-54.

The June 7 broadcast featured interviews with Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ), New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio (D-NY), former Texas Governor and Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry and House Homeland Security Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX). FACE THE NATION's panel of analysts included Ron Fournier of The National Journal; Susan Page of The USA Today; Jamelle Bouie of Slate and CBS News' Nancy Cordes. The broadcast was the first for John Dickerson as anchor of FACE THE NATION. Mary Hager is the Executive Producer of the Emmy-award winning FACE THE NATION, one of the longest-running news programs in the history of television.
