CBS's FACE THE NATION Delivers Over 3.9 Million Viewers on 6/5

CBS News' FACE THE NATION was the #1 Sunday-morning public affairs program in viewers and adults 25-54 (tied with ABC), according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for June 5, 2016. FACE THE NATION delivered 3.91 million viewers and 0.8/04 in adults 25-54, the demographic most important to those who advertise in news. Editor's Note: FACE THE NATION's second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 78.31% of the CBS affiliates.

FACE THE NATION posted double-digit year-to-year percentage growth in viewers (up +23%, from 3.19m) and adults 25-54 (up +14%, from 0.7/04) compared with the same week last year.

Television year-to-date, FACE THE NATION is first in viewers and second in adults 25-54, tied with ABC. FACE THE NATION delivered 3.75 million viewers (up +9%, from 3.43m) compared with last year.

On the June 5, 2016, broadcast, John Dickerson sat down with Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee. Dickerson then moderated a tribute to Muhammad Ali with New York Times sports columnist William Rhoden and Muhammad Ali biographer Thomas Hauser. Next, Dickerson discussed the race between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders with CNN Senior Political Commentator David Axelrod. The political roundtable featured Cook Political Report's Amy Walter; The Washington Post's Dan Balz; USA Today's Susan Page; and National Review Institute's Reihan Salam. Dickerson closed the show with reflections on his first year as anchor of FACE THE NATION.
