The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY is up +8% year-to-year in adults 25-54 (1.3/05 from 1.2/05) - the demographic most important to those who advertise in news - for the week ending Oct. 17, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. It is the largest percentage increase among the network evening news broadcasts for the week.

The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY is also up +2% in viewers (6.44m from 6.29m) compared to the same week last year.

Season-to-date, the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY is up +8% in adults 25-54 (1.3/05 from 1.2/05) compared to last year.

Ratings for the week ending Oct. 17 represent a four-day average, as the CBS broadcast aired under an "amended" title on Thursday due to THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL. The year-ago comparison represents a five-day average.
