Last night's edition of BIG BROTHER delivered its largest audience of the summer on any night, according to preliminary Nielsen live plus same day ratings for August 17.

At 8:00 PM, BIG BROTHER 16 SUNDAY was first in viewers (6.85m), adults 25-54 (2.6/07) and adults 18-49 (2.1/07). Compared to last week's golf-delayed broadcast, BIG BROTHER 16 SUNDAY was up +4% in adults 25-54 (from 2.5/07), +5% in adults 18-49 (from 2.0/06) and added +920,000 viewers (from 5.93m, +16%). If the ratings hold, BIG BROTHER posted this season's best deliveries (on any night) in viewers.

BIG BROTHER follows a group of people living together in a house outfitted with dozens of high-definition cameras and microphones recording their every move, 24 hours a day. Each week the Houseguests will vote someone out of the house. At the end, the last remaining Houseguest will receive the grand prize of $500,000.
