48 HOURS: "Obsessed" (10:00-11:00 PM, ET) was #1 with viewers and adults 25-54, the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news. The broadcast delivered 5.31 million viewers and a 1.4/04 with adults 25-54. Compared to the previous week, 48 HOURS was up +56% in adults 25-54 (from 0.9/03) and added +930,000 viewers (up +21%, from 4.38m). Compared to the same night last year, 48 HOURS was up +17% in adults 25-54 and +6% in viewers. Also, 48 HOURS: "Breaking Point" (S) (9:00-10:00 PM, ET) was #1 with viewers (4.53m) and adults 25-54 (1.1/03, tied with NBC). Saturday's back-to-back broadcasts featured Peter Van Sant and 48 HOURS' investigation into the death of Ryan Poston and the case against his on-again, off-again girlfriend, Shayna Hubers. Hubers shot Poston to death. She claimed it was self-defense to police and began to elaborate while dancing, twirling and talking about the incident as she was being videotaped at police headquarters. Police, prosecutors and eventually a jury thought it was murder.Videos
