CBS Wins Week in Viewers with 3 of 5 Top Programs

CBS won the week in viewers with three of the top five programs and five of the top 10, including THE BIG BANG THEORY, which was the top program in viewers and key demographics, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending March 16, Week 25 of the 2013-2014 television season.

Following The Big Bang Theory in the week's top 10 were Blue Bloods (#4) 60 Minutes (#5), NCIS (R), #8 and Criminal Minds (#9). A rebroadcast of NCIS beat every drama broadcast on the competition except "Resurrection."

SURVIVOR topped "American Idol" in both adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 in their common hour for the first time ever. The season finale of Undercover Boss swept its time period, posting double-digit percentage increases over last season's finale, up +20% in adults 18-49, +13% in adults 25-54 and +17% in viewers.

SURVIVOR

SURVIVOR (9.66m) was first in adults 25-54 (3.4/09) and adults 18-49 (2.5/08), beating "American Idol Wednesday" in their common hour for the first time ever in adults 25-54 and adults 18-49, while finishing in its closest competitive position in viewers for the second consecutive week. Compared to last week, Survivor was up +3% in adults 25-54 (from 3.3/09), +4% in adults 18-49 (from 2.4/08) and added +80,000 viewers (from 9.58m, +1%).


UNDERCOVER BOSS

The season finale of Undercover Boss was first in viewers (6.56m), adults 25-54 (1.7/06) and adults 18-49 (1.2/05). Compared to last year's finale, Undercover Boss was up +17% in viewers (from 5.60m), +20% in adults 18-49 (from 1.0/04) and +13% in adults 25-54 (from 1.5/05)


THE BIG BANG THEORY

THE BIG BANG THEORY was first in viewers (17.34m), adults 25-54 (6.6/20) and adults 18-49 (4.9/17). The Big Bang Theory is the week's top program in these measures.


TWO AND A HALF MEN

TWO AND A HALF MEN was first in viewers (9.43m), adults 25-54 (3.4/09), and adults 18-49 (2.4/07) - beating "American Idol" by +17% in adults 25-54, +14% in adults 18-49 and by +990,000 viewers (+12%) in the common half-hour. Two and a Half Men beat "Grey's Anatomy" in their common half-hour for the second straight week in adults 18-49.
