CBS Wins Wednesday Night in Viewers in Key Demos

CBS won Wednesday in viewers and key demographics as CRIMINAL MINDS posted week-to-week growth in viewers and adults 18-49 and SURVIVOR and CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION both swept their time periods, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Dec. 12.

SURVIVOR: PHILIPPINES was first in households (6.3/10), viewers (10.21m), adults 25-54 (3.8/10) and adults 18-49 (2.8/08). The two-hour SURVIVOR: PHILIPPINES finale will be broadcast Sunday (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT), followed by the reunion show hosted by Jeff Probst.

CRIMINAL MINDS was first in households (7.4/11) and viewers (11.92m) and was second in adults 25-54 (3.8/09, -0.1 behind ABC) and adults 18-49 (3.1/08, -0.1 behind ABC). Compared to last week, CRIMINAL MINDS was up +4% in households (from 7.1/11), +3% in adults 18-49 (from 3.0/08) and added +590,000 viewers (from 11.33m, +5%).

At 10:00 PM, CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was first in households (6.1/10), viewers (9.52m), adults 25-54 (2.9/07) and adults 18-49 (2.2/08).

For the night, CBS was first in households (6.6/10), viewers (10.55m), adults 25-54 (3.5/07) and adults 18-49 (2.7/07). CBS won Wednesday for the 10th time in 12 weeks, winning for the fifth time in six weeks in adults 25-54 and the third time in four weeks in adults 18-49.

Compared to last week, CBS was up +16% in viewers, +8% in adults 18-49 and +6% in adults 25-54.
