As first reported on Deadline.com, Sony Pictures TV's THE Queen Latifah SHOW will be launched in the fall of 2013. In a premium deal with CBS TV stations, the sydicated talk show will air on the 16 CBS Owned & Operated stations throughout the country.

According to the report, The Queen Latifah Show will feature "celebrity interviews, human interest stories, comedy, pop culture and musical performances. It is expected to showcase Queen Latifah’s talents, blending comedy and music into her hosting duties."

The new talk show marks CBS stations' first foray into the entertainment sydicated talk show genre. It will join competitors 'Live With Kelly & Michael and Katie on ABC, Ellen and StEve Harvey on NBC and and Fox's Anderson Live and The Wendy Williams Show.

The Queen Latifah Show will likely be joined by Warner Bros.’ Bethenny, which is also scheduled for a 2013 nationwide launch on the Fox stations. A talk show to be hosted by Bobby Flay and Giada De Laurentiis is also in the works at CBS TV Distribution. Latifah's show will be executive produced by Flavor Unit’s Queen Latifah and Compere; Overbrook’s Miguel Melendez, Lassiter, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith as well as Nelson.
