CBS THIS MORNING Posts Double-Digit Percentage Gains in Key Demos

CBS THIS MORNING is once again the only broadcast morning news program to post gains in viewers and double-digit percentage gains in all key demographic categories, while NBC and ABC saw declines in total viewers, adults 25-54 and women 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Oct. 28.

CBS THIS MORNING delivered 3.53m million viewers (up +5% from 3.35m), and was up +13% adults 25-54 (0.9 rating from 0.8), +22% women 25-54 (1.1 rating from 0.9) and +17% women 18-49 (0.7 rating from 0.6) compared to the same week a year ago. ABC was down -8% in viewers, -7% in adults 25-54, -11% in women 25-54 and down -8% in women 18-49. NBC was down -3% in viewers, -7% in adults 25-54, -10% women 25-54 and -7% in women 18-49.

CBS THIS MORNING gained +176,000 viewers compared to the same week last year, closed the viewership gap with ABC by 579,000 viewers and cut the deficit with the NBC by 298,000 viewers.

Season-to-date, CBS THIS MORNING is the only broadcast morning news program to show growth in viewers and all key demos according to Nielsen's most current ratings. CBS THIS MORNING is up +5% in viewers, +13% in adults 25-54, +11% in women 25-54 and +17% women 18-49. At the same time, ABC was down in all measures: -7% in viewers, -7% in adults 25-54, -6%, women 25-54 and -8% women 18-49. NBC was down -2% in viewers, even in adults 25-54, down -5% women 25-54 and -7% women 18-49.

CBS THIS MORNING has delivered year-over-year audience growth for 49 consecutive months while ABC has not experienced year-over-year monthly gains since April 2014.
