CBS SUNDAY MORNING was #1 with viewers and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for April 17.

The broadcast delivered 5.73 million viewers and a 1.2/07 with adults 25-54, the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news. Season-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING is #1 with an audience delivery of 6.04 million viewers and a 1.3/07 with adults 25-54. CBS SUNDAY MORNING has been the #1 Sunday morning news program for 13 consecutive years.

Sunday's broadcast was anchored by Charles Osgood and featured Anna Werner's look at the world cup of Quidditch, the once imaginary game from the Harry Potter books; Barry Petersen's report from the exotic South Asia country of Bhutan; Conor Knighton's visit to Florida's Biscayne National Park; Tracy Smith's chat with blues/rock legend Bonnie Raitt; Lee Cowan's report on Oscar winning actress Kathy Bates' struggle against a debilitating disease; Seth Doane's profile of muscle-car lover and actor Eric Bana; Faith Salie's views on our need for approval; and Steve Hartman's story about a corrupt ex-cop who became friends with the man he wrongfully sent to prison.
