CBS SUNDAY MORNING Delivers Over 6 Million Viewers for 9th Time in 10 Weeks

CBS SUNDAY MORNING, the nation's #1 Sunday morning news program, delivered more than 6 million viewers for the ninth time in 10 weeks and posted double-digit year-to-year viewer increases, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for March 6.

The broadcast delivered 6.15 million viewers and a 1.4/07 in adults 25-54, the demographic most desired by those who advertise in news. Compared to the same day last year, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +13% in viewers (from 5.44m) and +8% in adults 25-54 (from 1.3/08).

Season-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING is delivering 6.02 million viewers and a 1.3/07 with adults 25-54.

Sunday's broadcast was anchored by Lee Cowan and featured Don Dahler's report on the imminent threat of a major earthquake and tsunami striking the Pacific Northwest; Tracy Smith's profile of singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor; Jane Pauley's interview with Academy Award-winning actress Holly Hunter; Rita Braver's exploration of THE LIFE and works of pioneering "drip" artist Jackson Pollock; Conor Knighton's visit to the National Park in Hot Springs, Ark.; Bill Geist's visit to the Salt and Pepper Collectors Convention; Faith Salie's opinion on the SELFIE craze; and Steve Hartman's trip to an unlikely farm sanctuary in Texas.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING is broadcast Sundays (9:00-10:30 AM, ET) on the CBS Television Network. Rand Morrison is the executive producer.
