CBS News' major broadcasts ended the 2014-2015 television year with unrivaled audience growth, including some time period wins and strong adult 25-54 performances, according to Nielsen most current ratings for the just-ended television season.

More than 188.3 million people watched a portion of a CBS News broadcast during the year, and more than 78 million of them between the ages of 25 and 54, the demographic most desired by advertisers.

Original reporting propelled the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY to the Network's best audience delivery in the time period for the CBS Television Network since the 2005-2006 season; it pushed CBS THIS MORNING to the Network's closest competitive position with NBC in the time period since the 1993-1994 TV year; and CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD posted its largest audience since the 1987 advent of people meters and remained the #1 Sunday morning news broadcast.

Likewise, 60 MINUTES finished as the nation's most-watched news program; FACE THE NATION was the #1 Sunday morning public affairs broadcast with viewers; 48 HOURS was Saturday's #1 non-sports broadcast with viewers; and CBS THIS MORNING: SATURDAY delivered the Network's largest audience ever in the time period.

CBS News' stable of broadcasts posting year-to-year audience increases is unmatched by any other broadcaster.
