In addition to CBSN, the app offers extensive on-demand video content, including all the latest content from CBS News programs as well as original digital videos.

"CBSN viewership continues to grow, with the strongest engagement on connected devices, and we're very pleased to now expand our 24/7 live, anchored, streaming coverage to PS4 and PS3 users," said Christy Tanner, Senior Vice President and General Manager, CBS News Digital.

Today's exciting launch of the CBS News app for the PS4 and PS3 system further extends the reach of CBSN, which recently set a new two-week viewership record for its coverage of the Republican and Democratic National Conventions. CBSN drew a record 13.85 million streams for its on-the-ground reporting and analysis throughout the conventions as well as its breaking news coverage during both weeks. Additionally, CBSN engagement levels were high throughout both weeks, with viewers watching for 52 minutes per session on average on connected TVs during the Democratic National Convention, up from 50 minutes during the Republican National Convention.
