CBS NEWS Wins Most Murrow Awards for Third Straight Year

CBS News won the most Edward. R. Murrow Awards for the third straight year, earning 10 for the journalism produced on each of its major platforms. The winners were announced today by the Radio, Television & Digital News Association, which will present the awards at a gala in New York City on Oct. 12.

The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY and CBS THIS MORNING each received six awards - including best newscast, won by the CBS EVENING NEWS - a number unmatched by any network television news organization since 2002. CBS Radio News equaled its strong showing in 2014 by winning three again this year, including best newscast for CBS WORLD NEWS ROUNDUP for the third straight year. CBS News Digital, enhanced by the November debut of CBSN - the first live-anchored digital news network - was awarded Best Website for CBSNews.com.
