CBS News delivered the most-watched coverage of Sunday's presidential debate with more than 16.4 million viewers, according to Nielsen time adjusted preliminary national ratings on Oct. 9. The broadcast was also #1 with adults 25-54, the demographic most desired by those who advertise in news.

Coverage of the second presidential debate this election cycle, anchored by CBS THIS MORNING co-hosts Norah O'Donnell and Gayle King along with FACE THE NATION moderator John Dickerson, was up +84% in viewers from the same debate during the 2012 campaign and up +78% in adults 25-54.

CBSN, CBS News' 24/7 streaming news service, finished the week - Monday through Sunday - with a record 9.3 million live and DVR streams for the network.

O'Donnell, King and Dickerson were joined on the primetime network coverage by CBS News congressional correspondent Nancy Cordes, CBS News White House correspondent Major Garrett and CBS News political contributor Bob Schieffer.

The audience for the CBS News coverage was significantly higher than coverage on ABC, Fox, CNN, FNC and MSNBC.
