CABARET Performance on NBC's Today Postponed Due to Inclement Weather
A live performance featuring the cast of Broadway's Cabaret was set to air this morning on NBC as part of the Today show's 'Best of Broadway' series. Due to the inclement weather in the New York area, BWW has confirmed with the network that the performance has been postponed and will be rescheduled.
The series continues tomorrow, Friday, May 9 with a performance by the cast of Broadway's Mamma Mia!
Roundabout Theatre Company's production ofJoe Masteroff, John Kander and Fred Ebb's Tony Award-winning musical Cabaret, starring Tony Award winner Alan Cumming and Golden Globe winner Michelle Williams, officially opened on Thursday, April 24, 2014. Cabaret features a book by Joe Masteroff, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb. It is based on the play by John Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood.
The cast also includes two time Tony nominee Linda Emond as Fraulein Schneider, four time Tony nominee Danny Burstein as Herr Schultz, Bill Heck as Cliff, Aaron Krohn as Ernst and Gayle Rankinas Fraulein Kost, co-directed by Academy Award-winner Sam Mendes (director) and Academy Award nominee Rob Marshall (co-director/choreographer).
The Cabaret Kit Kat Klub boys & girls are: Will Carlyon, Kaleigh Cronin, Caleb Damschroder,Benjamin Eakeley,Andrea Goss, Leeds Hill, Kristin Olness, Kelly Paredes, Jessica Pariseau, Dylan Paul, Jane Pfitsch, Evan Siegel, and Stacey Sipowicz.
The design team includes set and club design by Robert Brill, costume design by William Ivey Long, lighting design by Peggy Eisenhauer and Mike Baldassari and sound design by Brian Ronan. Patrick Vaccariello is the musical director.
