Bravo Media's "Inside the Actors Studio" hosted by James Lipton, commemorates the life and career of legendary actor and comedian Robin Williams with a special broadcast of his appearance on the Emmy Award-winning series on Thursday, August 21 at 8pm ET/PT. The episode originally aired on Sunday, June 10, 2001, and for the 250th episode of "Inside the Actors Studio," fans chose Williams' appearance as their favorite in a poll on BravoTV.com.

"There are so many reasons to grieve the loss of Robin Williams," Lipton said. "One of the saddest is that he takes with him the multitude of characters he created - fifty two of them in a three minute span in the film 'Aladdin.' If it is true that an actor's talent lays in the role choices he or she makes, Robin's talent was unmatchable. But we already knew that, didn't we?"

Williams' film career included The World According to Garp; Good Morning, Vietnam; Dead Poets Society; Awakenings; The Fisher King; Good Will Hunting; Popeye; Hook; Aladdin; Mrs. Doubtfire; Jumanji; The Birdcage; Night at the Museum; and Happy Feet.

Mr. Williams starred in a number of theatrical productions, including Mike Nichols's 1988 off-Broadway version of Waiting for Godot, co-starring with Steve Martin; and his own one-man show, Robin Williams: Live on Broadway. In 2011, he made his acting debut on Broadway in the title role ofRajiv Joseph's drama Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo.

Mr. Williams leaves behind his third wife, Susan Schneider, and three children: a son, Zachary Pym, whom he had with his first wife Valeri Velardi, and two children, Zelda Rae and Cody Alan, whom he had with his second wife Marsha Garces.
