The 11th Annual Boulder International Film Festival (BIFF) will take place March 5-8th, featuring nearly 50 films and a tribute to Academy Award-winning actor and director Alan Arkin.

"A Tribute to Alan Arkin" will feature a presentation of the "Career Achievement Award" to Mr. Arkin and a retrospective of his career, followed by a sure-to-be-unforgettable interview with Mr. Arkin conducted by BIFF special event producer Ron Bostwick.

The evening will take place on Saturday, March 7th at 7:30 p.m. with Mr. Arkin walking the red carpet into the Boulder Theater. Tickets are on sale for $25 and may be purchased at www.biff1.com.

Alan Arkin's illustrious career comprises over 70 films, highlighted by an Oscar win for his performance in the hit "Little Miss Sunshine," three Oscar nominations (including one for "Argo"), a Golden Globe for "The Russians are Coming, The Russians are Coming," five Golden Globe nominations and four Emmy Award nominations.

His long list of film credits also includes "Wait Until Dark," "The In-Laws," "The Heart is a Lonely Hunter," "Catch-22," "Edward Scissorhands," "Grosse Point Blank," "Glengarry Glen Ross" and, more recently, "Million Dollar Arm," "Grudge Match," "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone," "The Muppets," "Marley & Me" and "Get Smart."

Arkin is also an acclaimed director, producer, author, singer and composer, and released a memoir in 2011 entitled An Improvised Life. He is currently in production on the feature film "Let it Snow" with John Goodman, Ed Helms, and Diane Keaton.

"We are thrilled to be honoring Mr. Arkin with our 'Career Achievement Award' at the Festival this year," said Kathy Beeck, BIFF's Festival Director and co-founder. "He is by far one of the most celebrated, diverse, and accessible actors in Hollywood. We're huge fans of Mr. Arkin's work and we can't think of anyone more deserving of this award."
