Benedict Cumberbatch & More In Gaiman's NEVERWHERE
SHERLOCK star Benedict Cumberbatch - who has a spate of enticing upcoming projects following his Oliver Award-winning work onstage in Danny Boyle's FRANKENSTEIN, opposite Johnny Lee Miller - joins a slew of exiting notables in the new audio miniseries NEVERWHERE, based on the work of Neil Gaiman.
The "audio film" will also feature another famous film superhero byway of X-MEN star James McAvoy, in addition to Game of Thrones featured player Natalie Dormer, HOMELAND's David Harewood and DOCTOR WHO's Sophie Okonedo.
NEVERWHERE is set in Neil Gaiman's weird world of "London Below", a parallel universe to "London Above" - that is, the London of the real world.
NEVERWHERE was previously a TV film in 1996.
Cumberbatch previously participated in the Radio 4 broadcast of RUMPOLE AND THE PENGE BUNGALOW MURDERS in 2009 and has narrated many notable audiobooks (such as THE TEMPEST and SHERLOCK HOLMES: THE REDISCOVERED RAILWAY MYSTERS AND OTHER STORIES).
NEVERWHERE starts March 16 on Radio 4 in the UK, beginning with an hourlong installment and proceeding with five half-hour shows on March 18.
