Disney announced earlier this month that they were planning a sequel to BOY MEETS WORLD - and as of today, the childhood of every 90s kid is about to be rocked just a bit more: original series stars Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel, also known as high school sweethearts Cory and Topanga, have officially signed on to the TV series sequel, GIRL MEETS WORLD. TV Line broke the news this evening.

GIRL MEETS WORLD will follow Riley, the teenage daughter of Cory and Topanga, picking up over a decade after the show concluded its run on ABC in 2000. At this time, no other stars from the original series are set to return.

The pilot is still in early development, though BOY MEETS WORLD creator and executive producer Michael Jacobs is still holding the reigns - though a nationwide casting search has begun to nail down the role of Riley.

BOY MEETS WORLD ran on the ABC network from 1993 -2000.
