Michelle Vezilj in music video for "Karma."

In December of 2013, stage veterans Gabe Bowling and Michelle Vezilj released their first EP as Drink Me Up. Pulling from the traditions of singer-songwriters and indie rock, the duo's eponymous debut release quickly became an album I couldn't get enough of. Today, Drink Me Up is releasing a video for the catchy song "Karma," and the sexy single still packs a fabulous punch.

When I first reviewed Drink Me Up, I was taken with how exciting and refreshing their music was. I wrote that Michelle Vezilj and Gabe Bowling impress with both their "uncompromised personality" and the "fierce honesty and sincere emotions" of their music and lyrics. The song "Karma" features a fabulously infectious melody and titillating lyrics. Paired with the sensual and violent imagery of the video, directed by Colin G Cooper, the tune becomes absolutely unforgettable.

For New York fans of Drink Me Up, you can meet Gabe Bowling and Michelle Vezilj at their "Karma" video release event in Times Square today (Tuesday, May 12, 2015). Starting at 2:00 p.m., the pair will be near the TKTS stairs on Broadway between 47th and 46th. Keeping with the theme of the video, they will be splattered in blood, moving among the throngs of people and letting the crowd determine their path. Be sure to say "hello," get a picture or two with them, and share it on social media with #KARMASABITCH.

Drink Me Up's debut EP was released digitally on December 16, 2013. It is available on iTunes and Amazon. For more information about Drink Me Up, please visit http://www.drinkmeup.net. Also, be sure to follow them on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
