Following the horrifying loss of a friend and colleague last week, Ryan has to press on with his investigation to locate Mark, Daisy, Kyle and the sadistic torturer, Neil. Is this enough to send Ryan over the edge or is it going to empower him to solve this case once and for all?

Still reeling from the brutal death of Agent Jeff Clarke, Ryan, Mendez and the FBI hold a press conference to reveal that Mark Ray was behind the attack and they show sketches of Daisy and Kyle. Daisy flips out and is worried the she won't be able to have babies if she is on the run. (Delusional - party of one...or three). Kyle assures her that everything is fine and they reach out to "Julianne." Julianne tells them they're not leaving until the plan has been executed and they have a new assignment which involves a photo of Max.

Mark is pretty irritated that the press is believing the lies Ryan is feeding them so he kidnaps two of the reporters. He decides to have them interview him so he can tell the truth. The reporter guy goes into shock so Mark kills him and asks the female reporter to interview him. Her plan is to pit Mark against Daisy and Kyle while she makes a break for it. She almost gets away, but Daisy kills her. Mark is really upset they killed her before he finished being interviewed. In the commotion, he sees the "order" and photo of Max. Kyle covers telling him that it is a gift for Mark to provide him with Max's file. Mark believes them, but his other personality aka dead brother, Luke, warns him to be wary and not to trust Daisy and Kyle.

Ryan receives a tip from a former CI on who the torturer might be that killed Jeff. Through an abandoned warehouse/torture den, he finds a culprit who gives them Neil's email address. They track Neil down to a woodshop where he has taken his Father's nurse hostage after she almost lost him. Ryan saves the nurse and he, Max and Kyle set out on a manhunt for Neil. They track him to his house where they just miss him and Ryan realizes that Neil's father has dementia so he probably has a GPS on him. They track them to a local farmer's market where an action-packed car chase ensues. Max shoots Neil dead.

After Jeff's memorial service, Max comforts a distraught Mike witnessed by her current boyfriend, Tom. Tom shows up at Max's apartment offering to take her to dinner before she can go inside. And it's a good thing because Daisy and Kyle were inside outfitting her apartment with a full surveillance system. Ryan, feeling incredibly vulnerable, decides instead of pushing Gwen away from him, to lean on her completely and he asks her to move in with him. She agrees only on the contingency that Ryan doesn't keep secrets from her.

So clearly there is still some strong feelings between Max and Mike that Tom is pretty aware of that, but maybe they all know at this point that they are wrong for each other. Tom is putting forth a valid effort to respect her privacy while maintaining his relationship with her. However, it looks like our girl Max is in some serious trouble with Mark and his band of freaks so that may push the tension with Mike over the edge. Where will that leave Tom?

I am happy to see that Ryan is delving into his strong relationship for once instead of sabotaging it internally. I hope he can keep that up as I feel this case is only going to get bloodier and much, much worse in the coming weeks. There is a definite rift forming between him and Agent Mendez and I'm hoping it doesn't get too much deeper as they are really going to need each other as Mark Ray unravels further.

And just where is our friend Joe Carroll? Well, I guess we know where he is, I'm just wondering at what point he is going to appear on our screens. I'm assuming at some point, Ryan is going to need to talk to his old buddy before the execution. Does Joe have a hand in all of this somehow? I'm just full of doubt that he is not involved whatsoever in this plan. Is he behind the mysterious Julianne giving orders to Daisy and Kyle to defy Mark? Is Dr. Strauss? Most importantly, does anything good ever happen in an abandoned warehouse? Just once I'd like to see them find one where there are a bunch of former factory workers practicing a strip tease routine to make some extra cash. Anyone?
