Wait... so... wait... so... Did that like... wait. Okay, I'm a little flabbergasted. Did that just change the entire folk lore of THE WALKING DEAD? Is it possible to... I'm getting ahead of myself and I'm drunk on ellipses.

We got to catch up a little bit with Madison, Strand, Ofelia and Alicia who are all at varying levels of dissociation. Madison is still convinced she can find Travis and Chris, even though they've looked everywhere to no avail. Strand convinces her to go back to the Abigail while they still have enough gas to do so. But the Abigail is gone too. Instead it's time to check into an abandoned hotel. What could possibly go wrong there? Madison and Strand decide to get drunk in the bar while Ofelia and Alicia decide to explore the hotel. They do find that there is hot water left, but they also find a walker hanging in a shower. The two ponder what it is like to just give up surviving. As Alicia recovers from, what I can only imagine is, the best shower of her life, she notices the dead jumping off the roof and the balcony and heading toward the bar. Strand and Madison are trapped, Ofelia is nowhere to be found and Alicia is left to watch it unfold.

Back to the Colonia, when Nick wakes up in the infirmary, he heads outside only to watch a very disturbing scene of a man sacrificing himself to the dead as the village watches. Luciana takes him on a mission and explains to him that it is necessary for the "dying" to give themselves over to the dead so they can join the dead in protecting the living. Luciana's "mission" is to a local supermarket where she negotiates some water from the drug dealers who guard the market. When Nick is caught stealing, they threaten to cut his hands off, but he assesses that the market needs more medication, specifically Oxy to aid in the main dealer's sister addiction. Nick negotiates another basket of water for the Colonia. When he returns, the Pharmacist lectures him about putting the Colonia in danger and informs Nick that most of the medicine he gives to the sick in the Colonia is fake, he is just trying to give them hope. He then shows Nick where he was bitten... and he survived!

So... So... here is Patient Zero exhibiting signs of a bite by a walker and did not turn! Does this not change everything? Does everyone not have the virus or is there something to this Jim Jones-esque Mexican Colonia faith that Pharmacist is dishing out? Is it coincidental that at the precise moment that Alicia, Ofelia, Madison and Strand seem to give up faith that it seems that there is no hope for them? And can we talk about Madison's little drunken confession to Strand? It seems as though her dearly departed ex-husband was killed in a car accident, as we learned last week in Nick's flashback. However, Madison held back. Was it suicide? She alluded that he had a "darkness." Is that Southern talk for depression? And she has been seeing it in Nick her whole life too? That was an awfully big reveal on only a few shots of tequila. (Although they haven't eaten in awhile, so I guess it's plausible).

Also, the Abigail is gone. There goes their transportation (and any hope for the phrase "floaters" to catch on). Alicia left a "note" in the sand for Travis, Chris and/or Nick to head north if they came looking. That's pretty vague, but I have a feeling it will do the trick. We finally get a glimpse of Trav and Chris in the preview for next week's episode. Maybe Madison should be a little more worried about the "darkness" in Chris than in Nick. And is Nick really starting to believe in the Pharmacist or is he realizing that he needs to act like he is or he's in real trouble?

Here's a preview for next week's all new episode:
