With Oliver Queen (aka ARROW, played by Stephen Amell) still recovering from his sword fight/resurrection, it's up to Laurel (aka Black Canary, played by Katie Cassidy), Roy (aka Arsenal, played by Colton Haynes) and the rest of Team ARROW to stop Brick (Vinnie Jones). Keep your eye on the target and let's get you caught up on tonight's ep, 'Uprising.'

We open with Ollie having a bit of cabin fever. He begs Tatsu (Rila Fukushima) to let him go, but she feels he is still not fully healed. He asks her to come with, but she refuses. Ollie leaves for what I can only imagine is a long walk home.

Back in the criminal-run Glades section of Starling City, a thug hits up a bar owner for the protection money. Arsenal enters to stop the guy. A second guy comes out of nowhere and puts a gun to Arsenal's head and they plan to take Arsenal back to Brick. Enter Black Canary. Her fighting skills have improved to such an extent that even Arsenal is impressed.

Back at the lair, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) wonders why people are continuing to call 911 seeing as the mayor ordered the police to pull out of the Glades area of the city. Diggle (David Ramsey) reminds her they are desperate. Team Arrow, however, can't keep up with all the crime. Quinten Lance (Paul Blackthorne) phones them to tell them he will see about getting some additional crime fighters off the books. The mayor still fears Brick going after every politician if the police are seen in the Glades.

In Thea's fabulous loft, Thea (Willa Holland) continues to train with her dad Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman). He is concerned that when the time comes, she won't have it in her to kill (he's still convinced the League of Assasins will kill them both, though he technically is the one who orchestrated the murder of Sara Lance (the first Black Canary).

First flashback of the night is 21 years ago. Malcolm tucks his son into bed and then answers the door. It's the police to notify him of his wife's murder.

Flash forward. Felicity cross references some of Brick's past crimes. The same gun is often used. And it was also used in the murder of Malcolm's wife. That's right, Brick killed Malcolm's wife.

Which Malcolm knows because he bugged the lair when last there. He sits stunned in his office as he hears the news. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Malcolm is going to soon be helping Team Arrow out, me thinks.

Tatsu catches up to Ollie. She's been following him. She begins to give him some pointers about sword fighting as he most likely will need to face Ra's al Ghul again. To beat him, Ollie must learn from him. Only a student can beat a master.

Thea meets up with Malcolm, who is in the middle of sharpening his blades. He realizes he killed the wrong man. His wife's death is unavenged.

Flashback 2: Rebecca's funeral. Malcolm receiving the incorrect tip-off the fingered the wrong man.

Back in the lair, Felicity realizes Brick's men have been using walkie talkies to communicate, so she should be able to scan and pinpoint the original source. She does. It's the police station in the Glades, prompting her to give the best line of the night "let's add irony to Brick's list of charges."

Black Canary and Arsenal begin their seige of the police precinct. Brick gets the better of them with the use of a flare gun. It looks like curtains. Malcolm --in Dark Archer gear-- arrives to save the day (called it!). A single arrow hit Brick (but doesn't kill him). Brick runs off. Malcolm tells the pair that they need to talk (you think?). Back at the lair, Malcolm approaches Team Arrow about teaming up.

At Thea's club, Roy and Thea share a heart to heart. She's got time on her hands as Brick's goons are the only ones in the club and they are drinking the booze for free. She tries to convince him that, though Malcolm has done some pretty bad things, he did it out of a sense of protecting everyone in the Glades. She convinces him. Laurel is also in favor of teaming up with Malcolm. Felicity is very much against it as is Diggle.

Flashback 3: Malcolm confronts the man he thinks murdered his wife (whom we know is innocent --well, innocent of that particular crime). He points a gun at the criminal. The criminal correctly assumes that Malcolm won't shoot and kicks his butt.

Catching up with Ollie and Tatsu, Ollie bribes a truck for passage. Tatsu give him some medicine and sends him on his way.

Back at the Lair, Diggle is beginning to think they didn't make the right choice, but they did the right thing. Laurel realizes they need support and Malcolm isn't the only one out there. There is an entire town of people whom Team Arrow might be able to convince to rise up.

First person on her list is her trainer, Ted Grant (J.R. Ramirez). Ted used to fight crime under the alias of "Wildcat," but now he trains boxers. Roy, meanwhile, aproaches Sin (Bex Taylor-Klaus).

Team Arrow strikes with a mob of citizens at Brick and his thugs. It's total carnage. Brick runs away from the fight, only to encounter Malcolm in an alley.

Black Canary, meanwhile, is tending to a critically wounded Ted Grant, leaving Arsenal with no back-up. A goon is about to get the better of him when a green arrow slices through the air, hitting the baddie.

ARROW attempts to talk Malcolm out of killing Brick and then gives a rousing speech to the citizens, thanking them for doing his job in his absence.

Sin meets up with Quentin after the fight. He still thinks Sara is donning the Black Canary mask. As Sara's friend, Sin tells him that Black Canary is not Sara.

Ollie returns to the loft he shares with his sister Thea. Malcolm is there. As Thea makes tea, Ollie asks Malcolm to train him so that he might beat Ra's al Ghul.

And when Ollie breaks the news to Team ARROW that he will be working with Malcolm, Felicity is pissed and storms out. He goes after her. She lays into him. Malcolm has trained Thea to be a killer --a woman Ollie loves. Thea killes Sara --a woman Ollie loved. And now, Ollie is working with that man. Felicity has made a decision: she no longer wishes to be a woman Ollie loves.

It seems to strike a more deadly blow than that of Ra's al Ghul.
