F airytale fanatics rejoice; ONCE UPON A TIME returns to television Sunday, September 28th! Last season, we embarked on so many adventures with our heroes in Storybrooke; from visiting Neverland and battling the surprisingly horrifying Peter Pan to welcoming a new little member of the Charming family, the surprises never ceased in Season Three.

Before we look at what to expect this season on ONCE UPON A TIME, here's a quick refresher of season 3's conclusion:

As you recall, The Wicked Witch had attempted to create a time portal with the hopes of fixing her disgruntled past. Naturally, the gang halted her plan, and Rumpel stabbed her to what appeared to be her death (her skin turned into china of some sort, and she shattered to pieces). Emma and Hook were accidently transported to the Enchanted Forest through said portal, and managed to unintentionally alter Snow and Charming's love story. Fearing she may never be born, Emma, with the aid of Hook, reconnected her parents in order to save her own life and their love. Along the way, Emma broke a prisoner out of jail, essentially freeing her from her fate of execution. As it turns out, the young woman Emma helped was Robin Hood's wife; she was supposed to die in jail in the original story, but now she is alive and in Storybrooke. Her reappearence is not good news for Regina, who was pursuing a romantic relationship with Robin, whom Tinkerbell told her was her true love; she now resents Emma more than ever for changing the past.

Regina might not be the only threat on Emma's plate. In the final moments of the finale, we saw Queen Elsa (whom we all know from Disney's most recent hit, FROZEN) materialize out of the time portal and begin to head towards Storybrooke. There has been much speculation regarding the personality of Elsa, and where the writers will go with her character; in the film, Elsa is a good-natured character the audience can both sympathize with and root for, but in the original fairytale, Elsa was the primary villain. But FROZEN fans will be pleased to hear Elsa's sister Princess Anna will be joining us this season as well, alongside her lover (maybe husband now?) Kristoff. Actress Georgina Haig will portray Elsa, alongside Elizabeth Lail as Elsa and Scott Michael Foster as Kristoff.

Finally, we can't forget about the new addition to the Storybrooke clan- Prince Neil! Snow and Charming welcomed baby Neil into the world in the season finale. It's safe to assume that this child may have the same magical powers as Emma, for both are the product of true love. Considering the child is quite young, we may have to deal with someone potentially trying to kidnap the baby in order to harness his power- we saw a bit of that in the season finale as well.

The folks of Storybrooke haven't quite found their happily ever after just yet! Tune into ABC's ONCE UPON A TIME this fall Sundays at 8/7c.
