BOXEO Telemundo FORD, the number one boxing program on Hispanic television in the United States, rings in its Summer Season with a 10-round bout between Puerto Rican David "Dabo" Quijano and Mexican Ricardo "Meserito" Rodríguez for the WBO Super Latin Flyweight title, this Friday, June 24th at 11:35PM/10:35C, from the A La Carte Event Pavilion in Tampa, Florida.

David "Dabo" Quijano (16-5-1, 9KO), classified number 14 by the World Boxing Organization, will defend for the first time this year the title he won on October 23, 2015, when he defeated Daniel "Alacrán" Lozano in a spectacular fight carried on "Boxeo Telemundo Ford". This is his first CONTEST in 2016, a year in which he celebrates a decade since he first entered the ring.

Ricardo "Meserito" Rodríguez (13-3, 4KO), ranked just one place behind his current rival, at number 15 in the WBO classifications, is set for his second fight of 2016, having been crowned Interim Super Latin Flyweight champion by the organization on February 26 when he beat Puerto Rican Miguel "No Fear" Cartagena. The year 2015 was an intense one for "Meserito", winning two fights, the first against Jonathan "Pitbull" Vidal by KNOCKOUT in the seventh round, followed by a DM-10 victory over Daniel "Alacrán" Lozano, and suffering one defeat in October to David "Severo" Carmona.

Three more fight dates are on "Boxeo Telemundo Ford"´s Summer Season calendar, featuring intense bouts with important titles at stake:

Friday, July 1, from the Auditorio Plaza Condesa in Mexico City, Carlos "Fino" Ruiz will face Sebastián Díaz, in a 10-round bout for the WBO Super Latin Featherweight title.

Friday, July 8, from the Auditorio Blackberry in Mexico City, in a match for the WBC´s Latin Lightweight title, Mexian compatriots Antonio "Toño" Morán and Juan Pablo "Lagarto" Sánchez will face off in a 10-round bout.

The last fight will be staged on July 15 from the Kissimmee Civic Center in Kissimmee, Florida, when Puerto Rican champion Orlando "El Fenómeno" Cruz returns to "Boxeo Telemundo Ford" screens to defend his NABO Super Featherweight title against Mexican Alex Valdez in a 10-round contest.
