BET Networks Nabs 8 NAACP Image Awards

BET's big week of star power shines even brighter with 8 NAACP Image Award wins from this weekend's ceremony. Leading the pack is Real Husbands of Hollywood star Kevin Hart walking away with the coveted "Entertainer of the Year" and "Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series" awards while the show won for "Outstanding Comedy Series."

Capping off an incredible homerun first season, BET's hit series Being Mary Jane won "Outstanding Television Movie, Mini-Series or Dramatic Special" for the record breaking eponymous movie that aired last summer, while star Gabrielle Union was crowned "Outstanding Actress in a Television Movie, Mini-Series or Dramatic Special."

Ahead of the Season 7 debut of The Game premiering Tuesday, March 4, Wendy Raquel Robinson and Brandy Norwood were awarded "Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series" and "Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series" respectively for their work on the longstanding, hit show.

"Black Girls Rock!" was crowned "Outstanding Variety Series or Special" while "Free Angela and All Political Prisoners" presented by Realside Productions, Black Entertainment Television Networks and De Films en Aiguille won for "Outstanding Documentary - (Theatrical)." "Free Angela" makes its world television premiere Wednesday, February 26 at 10:00 P.M. ET/PT on BET.
