Jon Taffer, star of the long-running hit show Bar Rescue, announced today a first-look agreement with SPIKE to develop compelling content that will resonate with viewers and the legions of BAR RESCUE faithful.

Currently in season four and nearing 100 episodes, BAR RESCUE premiered in 2011 with Taffer as host. Over the past four years, the nightlife turn-around guru has used his 'in your face', no holds 'barred' style of turning failing bars across the country into profitable businesses and created a massive cult following in the process.

"Spike TV has been extremely supportive since day one and I couldn't imagine signing this deal with any other network," said Taffer. "Together we have grown 'Bar Rescue' into a household name and programming staple. I look forward to continuing our work in creating original content that builds on our tremendous success to date."

"We are incredibly thrilled to expand our successful partnership with Jon," said Sharon Levy, Spike's Executive Vice President, Original Series. "Throughout four seasons of 'Bar Rescue,' America has witnessed Jon Taffer transform small businesses with his innovative techniques and big ideas. We can't wait to see what else Jon has to say on Spike. This is just the beginning."

Bar Rescue returns with all new episodes on Sunday, October 4th at 10p/9p central on SPIKE TV.
