Ariana Grande, Fifth Harmony Top Winners at 2015 RADIO DISNEY MUSIC AWARDS

Ariana Grande, Fifth Harmony and Becky G were among the top winners tonight at the 2015 Radio Disney Music Awards (RDMA), music's biggest event for families. Hosted by teen icon Zendaya, the music-filled event took place at Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE and included performances by Nick Jonas, Fifth Harmony, Becky G, R5, Shawn Mendes, Natalie La Rose, Sabrina Carpenter, Sheppard, Tori Kelly and Rachel Platten. Jennifer Lopez was honored with the Hero Award in recognition of her work with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, The Lopez Foundation and her philanthropic efforts in the U.S. and around the world. Radio Disney also honored two youth leaders in recognition of their efforts to make a difference in their communities. Maryah Sullivan, 19, from Orlando, was nominated by Boys & Girls Clubs of America for her volunteer work at the Ronald McDonald house and a local nursing home. Sloan Peterson, 10, from Los Angeles, was nominated by Free The Children for establishing a chapter at her school where she has led several fundraising and volunteering efforts for both local and global issues including access to clean water.

"Disney Channel Presents the Radio Disney Music Awards," a 90-minute television special originating from the event, will air SUNDAY, APRIL 26 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) and will be preceded by "ARDY's Pre-Show Party" (7:30 p.m., ET/PT), which will include highlights from the pre-show music festival and celebrity red carpet arrivals, all simulcast by Radio Disney nationwide. This year, the event has grown - 101 million votes were tallied and the special will air on Disney Channels around the world.

"ARDY's Pre-Show Party" will be available on both THE WATCH Disney Channel app and the Radio Disney app beginning Sunday, April 26 (9:00 a.m. ET), and the RDMA special will also be available on both apps immediately after it airs on Disney Channel (9:30 p.m.). The RDMA telecast will be presented Monday, April 27 on Disney XD.
