Variety reports that Anna Kendrick is currently in discussions to star in a holiday-themed comedy for Disney.

Written and directed by Marc Lawrence, the film will follow the story of Santa Claus' daughter (Kendrick) "who is forced to take over THE FAMILY business when her father decides to retire and brother ends up getting COLD FEET prior to his first big Christmas Eve flight."

Kendrick was recently seen on the big screen in Warner Bros' "The Accountant," the FOX comedy "Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates", and the recently released "Table 19." She also lent her voice to DreamWorks Animations' "Trolls." Next up, a starring role in the third installment of the popular franchise "Pitch Perfect 3", hitting theaters next December.
