PUSHING DAISIES: THE MUSICAL could be the reunion fans are desperate to see!

Multi-award-winning cult TV dramedy series PUSHING DAISIES has been rumored to be finding a second life onstage some season soon and one of the show's original stars, Anna Friel, discusses the prospect of putting the show on Broadway as part of a new interview.

Friel reveals, "[Creator] Bryan Fuller always talks about [a 'Pushing Daisies' reunion]... I saw Lee recently, which was just lovely. I miss him so much. And Bryan is such a doll ... I'd like to see that come together, whether as a Broadway show or we just have some kind of get-together and you get to see us kiss. I'd get to kiss Lee Pace!"

Directly addressing whether he would like to be involved in a stage version of PUSHING DAISIES, star Lee Pace opined last year, "I've always wanted to do a musical. Always been kind of curious about that. I can't let my career end without doing a musical. So I would, yeah. I'd totally be game for that. It sounds actually really fun. It'd be fun to get the band back together."

Also, Pace revealed, "Oh, we had so many musical episodes, so many songs in the show. It could be perfect. Can't you just imagine The Pie Hole on stage? Perfect, right?"

Additionally, original series producer Bruce Cohen commented on the prospective project to me last year as part of our InDepth InterView (available here), sharing, "That has always been a dream of the whole PUSHING DAISIES team - to do a musical version of it."

As for its development status, Cohen also related, "We will see what happens. There is no official plan yet, just a lot of people really wanting it to happen - but, that's how a lot of things get started."
